PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk will produce tires for trucks and buses (Truck and Bus Radial/TBR). Chatarina Widjaja, Director of Gajah Tunggal, said the production of TBR tires will be executed gradually starting next year with total investment of US$ 150 million. According to Chatarina, the tires production will be conducted progressively for 3 years with total production capacity of 1,500-2,000 units per day. Gajah Tunggal’s TBR tires production is aimed at export market, especially in ASEAN countries. Meanwhile, the domestic market is still considered low.
